Lessons in the Key of Today for the weekend of August 12/13th, 2017:
A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.

Are you ready to take a step back and re-examine some old ideas?
Today we are entering a three week sojourn that is ripe for research, analysis and harvesting ideas. It’s a time when great satisfaction can be found in a job well done. We are able to reassess the value of our labors so far and see how far we have come, and take the time and effort to explore what we would like to do going forward. This phase will serve us well in the coming months as we learn what works and what doesn’t.
After having applied ourselves in one particular area of our life for a quite a while, we now get to step back, take a little break and enjoy the fruit of our labors. In the process we get to see which part of the garden is flourishing brilliantly and which might need a tad more tending. Maybe it is a career, a relationship, a dream, a home, a creation, or an actual garden that you’ve put much effort into that now needs assessment or thoughtful consideration.
I wonder… is there a garden of sorts in your life that could use some watering, some TLC or some concentrated weeding?
The energy today also portends a time of old limits being removed. This is the opportunity we have been waiting for. There are no limitations on what you can do now. The only true impediments are your own fears or inhibitions.
You may have experienced some intense suffering as of late. But that time has passed and we are looking forward to a new and positive destination. There is absolutely nothing to fear. This time has come for the purpose of expansion, not constriction. As the days unfold, you will find your projects coming to fruition that you have worked on for a long time. You will see relationships strengthened as you become more clear on your own passions and your own path.
Sunday offers a time to get grounded and practical. Nature calls to us like a comrade and healer. It’s good time to spend time outdoors and commune with the Earth. We can feel good about our productivity and joyfully and faithfully persevere with our tasks and projects.
This is a time to shine like the Sun. No shrinking violets, okay? Be brave. Be bold. Expand and explore with confidence.
Today’s triad: Tend your garden. Nature. Shine.
